NEW Marathon and Triathlon Jewelry

All my custom pendants and charms are made of pure silver or 22k solid gold. I love making custom jewelry as they are not mass produced:)
I also like the look of rustic, antique metal. Oxidizing the silver gives all my jewelry a natural organic style about them.

Camping Vacation along the California Coast

Camping along the coast for a week was very relaxing, especially with our little Vespa. It made life easier getting around town while our camper was parked at the camp site:)
For dinner my hubby cooked tri-tip! I bought some fine cheeses and wine..it was like a 5 star restaurant..all in our camper!

Nestled Turquoise and Ruby Earrings

Want to buy these items for someone or for yourself? Just click the picture and it will take you to my website:) These earrings are handmade using thick guage sterling silver wire for the earwires and heavy wire work on the Turquoise stones. Oxidizing the wire really gives any piece of jewelry a rustic style.

The Burmese Rubies have a deep red color and is also heavily wrapped in sterling silver wire. These two are my personal favorites:)

"26.2" Marathon Cube Charm Necklaces

Want to buy these items for someone or for yourself? Just click the picture and it will take you to my website:)
Petite "Cube" necklaces are customized to have initials, names, words or marathon distances stamped on them. I made these 2 cubes for a customer who wanted the 26.2 stamped on the front and "Golf" on one side and her name on the other. A little gemstone dangles at the clasp so if the clasp turns around on the neck, it will show the cute gemstone dangling:) These are pretty difficult to make using pure fine silver but the end results are satisfying!

Escape from Alcatraz 2008

Alcatraz sunrise..
(waking up at 3:30am so my hubby can get organized and drive down to the bay wasn't my cup of tea...but then I would of missed this pretty sunrise at 5:45am:) ( click for larger view)

Transition area with 1800 bikes..

Theres my hubby with his golden smile!! coming off from his 1.5 swim:)
(click picture for larger view)

The Alcatraz Triathlon was quite an event.
At 6am I watched the sunrise which was picture perfect with Alcatraz coming into view...it was very beautiful plus the weather couldn't be better: the high was 70 degrees on race day...
I'm very proud of my hubby, especially with the water temp. being 56 degrees. *Brrrr*...thats too cold for me!!

I went around fighting the crowds and focusing on my hubby, making sure he didn't pass by for some good pictures:) I missed him on the bike as there were way too many people to get through.

We drove 7 hours later that day back to San Diego..
Here is his swim chart taken from his Garmin...kinda neat right?(click picture for larger view) :) I must say all 1800 people were spread everywhere with the current taking many swimming so far west they had canoes redirecting them back on track. Quite a site to see!

Pendants, Pet Name Tags, Floating Heart

I had fun making these 3 pendants. The heart pendant is actually a pet name tag with a phone number stamped on the back. Balancing the heart in both the circle and the Tree of Life was a bit difficult but I think it turned out sweet:)

Stagecoach

We went to Stagecoach which is a country outdoor concert in Palm Springs. We watched the Eagles play for the first time which was really neat!

My sister in law had a booth selling her almonds called " My Husbands Nuts " (which are really yummy) and she also displayed my jewelry:)

My husband and I rode our bikes from our RV to the concert site which was too much fun..The blurred picture was of us racing our friends who were on another bike riding back to the camp site..

There is a worm in my plant!

Isn't this worm cute? He lets me know when my soil is wet or when it needs water..when he is dark that means the plant doesn't need water, when he is a lighter color, it mean it needs watering.

Mr. Spidey is made out of PMC3, pure fine silver. A customer of mine asked for a cute spider necklace so I went to work on trying to make a spider as cute as possible...Have you tried to make a non threatening looking spider out of anything? It's not easy! !I think Mr. Spidey turned out comical and super cute! I will miss him...maybe one day I will make a spidey for me:)

Trigger happy

I was a bit trigger happy today at the beach..isn't this squirrel cute? Carlsbad squirrels are such lil' posers!

Ragdolls

Our ragdolls kitties are a blue mitted ragdoll with a blaze and seal mitted ragdoll with a blaze. The blaze is the little white flame on thier noses. Want to know more about Ragdolls? :
The Ragdoll is a large, floppy, people loving, blue eyed and pointed cat, with a pleasant domestic head type with wide spaced ears and non extreme semi wedge shaped muzzle.
A fascinating cat, the Ragdoll from California enjoys great success and has a large following of breeders and owners. It is not the only cat breed to emigrate from California, but it is probably the best known and its unusual breed name causes interest wherever it is seen. In fact, the name Ragdoll was given by the original breeder Ann Baker in the 1960's and was so named for its captivating tendency to go limp like a child's toy when held in human arms.
The ancestors of today's Ragdoll breed are a bit of a mystery. It is believed they descended from a combination of three feral cats: a white semi- longhaired cat named Josephine; a seal point male with white feet called Daddy Warbucks and a black male called Blackie.
There has been much myth surrounding the origin of the breed. Every Ragdoll ancestry must be traceable back to Josephine.
Ragdolls are extremely huggable. Estimates of adult Ragdoll size range between 8 to 12 pounds (4-5kg)for females and 12 to 16 pounds (5-8kg) for males. Ragdolls are a large cat that reaches full maturity between the ages of three to four years.
